About this work

Illuminations and decorations at the town hall during the celebration of the Peace of Utrecht in The Hague on 14 June 1713. Against the facade, a scaffold was built on which allegorical scenes are visible. Two herons spray drink from the facade to the assembled crowd. On both sides, large candelabras are set up. At the bottom, the title and legend 1-8 in Dutch and French.
