About this work

Illuminations and decoration at the town hall during the celebration of the Peace of Utrecht in The Hague on 14 June 1713. Against the facade a scaffold has been built on which allegorical scenes can be seen. Two herons spray drink from the facade to the gathered crowd. On both sides large candelabras are set up. At the bottom the title and legend 1-8 in Dutch and French.
