About this work
The wind trade in Rotterdam drives the spirit of Erasmus out of the city, 1720. Satirical print on the wind trade in Rotterdam. On the right foreground, a wealthy Rotterdam citizen tramples the scales of Justice; on the left, inspection of the treasury reveals only coal. The caption contains verses in Dutch and French. Print 15 in the series Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Share Trade of 1720.
