About this work

The wind trade in Rotterdam causes the spirit of Erasmus to leave the city, 1720. Satirical print on the wind trade in Rotterdam. On the right in the foreground, a wealthy Rotterdamter tramples the scales of Justice; on the left, the treasury upon inspection contains only coal. In the caption, verses in Dutch and French. Print in the bound first edition (304 B 11) of Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Share Trading of 1720.
