About this work

Stage where the personifications of the South Sea Company and Credulity sit on a throne and hold Avarice on a chain. Avarice eats coins and distributes paper shares. In the foreground and on the sides are wind traders; in the clouds, Fortune scatters paper. Caption in four columns. Print in the bound fourth edition (304 B 12) of *Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid* with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Share Trade of 1720.
