About this work

Calligraphy of a man with a large hat and glasses reading from a sheet. In the other hand a stack of papers, the top one titled: The Entertaining Stock Speculator or the Millers' Battle. Pendant to the calligraphy of the woman with child and windmills. Part of the group of supplementary prints added to the series Tableau of Folly with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Stock Trade of 1720.
