About this work
New Year's print of the watchmen (night watch) of the city of Hoorn for the year 1789. Dedicated to the officials and inhabitants of Hoorn. Two members of the watch standing at an Orange tree with the coat of arms of Hoorn, with the Roode Steen square in Hoorn in the background, including the old town hall, the Weigh House, and the States College. Below the image on the sheet, a poem in three columns, and at the bottom a song in three columns.
