About this work

Triumphal arch placed in front of the house of Bernard Mauritz, a councilor and former alderman of Vlissingen and steward of the Stadtholder. Triumphal arch designed and painted by Jan Huis, painter in Middelburg. Part of the illustrations of the inauguration of Willem IV as hereditary lord of Vlissingen on 5 June 1751.
