About this work
The sixth sleigh in the procession. A sleigh with the City Maid of Leiden, drawn by a horse and followed by two city criers on foot. Part of a series of twelve plates of the sleigh procession on 24 January 1776 organised by the Leiden society Veniam Pro Laude on the occasion of the Second Centenary of the Relief of Leiden (3 October 1574) and the Foundation of the University of Leiden (8 February 1575).
