Cartoon of Admiral Lodewijk van Bylandt, 7 October 1782. The admiral stands with a money bag in his hand while he disobeys the order to sail the fleet to Brest. Within a frame of gallows with a crow in the upper left. Based on the prevailing feeling that the admiral had been bribed not to follow these orders. In the caption, a four-line verse about the alleged treason of the admiral.
