About this work

Disturbances as the deputies from Dordrecht, the gentlemen Gevaerts and De Gijzelaar, drive their carriage through the Stadhouderspoort into the Binnenhof and their horses are seized at the reins by the Hague wig maker F. Mourand, 17 March 1786. On the left the deployed militia, on the right the lawyer Van Nispen defends the carriage.
