About this work

Four silhouettes hidden in two trophies of arms, 1787. At the top center, the All-Seeing Eye. The two silhouettes on the left near the broken yoke and the spear of liberty are of Joan Derk van der Capellen tot den Pol and burgomaster Hendrik Danielsz. Hooft; on the right, near the grave monument of the deceased Cornelis Govert Visscher and Isaac van Goudoever. Hanging from the ornaments are the coats of arms of the four named persons.
