Extensive allegory on the occasion of the restoration of Stadtholder Willem V in 1788. At an obelisk, the prince (in Roman costume) receives the baton of command from the Dutch lion; to the right his wife and children, also in classical dress. In the center before the monument sits the Dutch Maiden. In the clouds Mercury, Prudence, Fame, and Justice. On the left on the steps stand seven men symbolizing the provinces, before them the watching people. On the right, Prussia drives out the last patriots, and Pride, Envy, and Greed are defeated by a wild man with lightning bolts (a divine plague). In the center front the coats of arms of the Prince and Princess of Orange. Below the representation a verse in twelve couplets. A separate explanation belongs to the print.
