About this work
Satire on the Peace of Lunéville concluded on 9 February 1801 between France and Germany, and the losses suffered by the Batavian Republic in connection with it. A Dutchman watches as another Dutchman on his shoulders carries a Frenchman and a Briton. Both carry papers with the names of the lost cities and territories, including Ceylon, Venlo, Maastricht and Cadzand. Also with two other figures. On the sheet below the print a poem in three columns.
