About this work

Monument commemorating the stadtholdership in the Netherlands, probably on the occasion of the death of William V in 1806. On top of the monument statues of six stadtholders from William I to William IV. On the monument depictions of historical events. In the center of the gate the tomb monument of Prince Frederick (died 1799). Around it portraits of Prince William V and his wife Wilhelmina of Prussia, son William Frederick with his wife Wilhelmina of Prussia, his daughter Louise with her husband Charles of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel.
