About this work
The Great Chain with the cross of the Royal Order of Holland, later called the Order of Union. Decoration instituted by King Louis Napoleon, first in 1806. This variant of the ornament with a swimming or emerging lion dates from 14 February 1807. Full size. Centrally the embroidered star and two other embroidered cross-shaped wearing devices; below separately the front and back of the grand cross and the front and back of a smaller variant. The various parts are numbered (legend missing) and numbered: Pl. IV.
