Landscape with a bird's-eye view of the course of the river Scheldt to the town of Antwerp. In the foreground the British fleet sails in August 1809 past Fort Bath up the Scheldt towards Antwerp; halfway between Fort Lillo and Liefkenshoek a chain is stretched across the river; behind the chain lies the French fleet. In the distance the town of Antwerp with a dozen French ships lying before it. Title and inscriptions in Dutch. The print is accompanied by an explanation.
