About this work

Kermis print of the Amsterdam night watch, 9 September 1872. Centrally a laudatory poem on the Dam, surrounded by new buildings on and around the Dam in Amsterdam: at the top the Groote Club and the Zeemanshoop at the head of the Kalverstraat, the Beurs van Zocher, the National Monument 'De Eendracht' (Naatje op de Dam), and a fire engine.
