About this work

Welcome address to the Dutch soldiers who were taken prisoner during the siege and capture of the Citadel of Antwerp, released in June 1833, and returned to the Netherlands. At the top, three old irrelevant woodcuts (ships at sea and a portrait of Stadtholder William IV). The text describes the siege, captivity, and return of the Dutch. Below, a poem in twelve verses.
