About this work

Count Willem II on horseback, between three knights in armor on horseback. Sheet numbered XII in the series of eighteen plates depicting the historical costumed procession representing the reception of Count Willem II of Holland in Utrecht in 1249. The procession held by the students of the University of Utrecht on 2 June 1841 to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the restoration of the University.
