About this work

Allegory on the Peace of Amiens, on 27 March 1802, which put an end to the war between Great Britain and the French Republic, Spain and the Batavian Republic. In the center Peace floats through the clouds with an olive branch in her hand. Bottom left the exhausted army returns inside the fortress. With English title and inscriptions.
