About this work
The Duke of Wellington receives from several Scottish soldiers the two standards with eagles (without flags) captured from the French during the Battle of Waterloo, 18 June 1815. In the center, the Duke on a white horse, surrounded by his staff. At the bottom in the margin between the Dutch and French titles, a vignette with three radiant laurel wreaths and the dedication.
