Solemn inauguration of King Leopold I in Brussels on 21 July 1831. The king standing between government officials and guests listening to a speech by Surlet de Chokier, on a stage built in front of the church St. Jacob-op-Koudenberg at the Koningsplein. In the foreground the public and members of the volunteer corps of the Marquis de Chasteler.
