About this work
Design for a chalice on the occasion of the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the Iron Cross, held in The Hague in August 1861. The chalice was presented to Joost Hendrik Burlage, designer of the Association of the Iron Cross, as a sign of gratitude and friendship by the association. The decoration medal is drawn on the pedestal. See also another copy with notes.
