Satirical print on the Jesuits, ca. 1858. Monument or temple with a central statue of the reclining Ignatius of Loyola. Left and right, preaching Jesuits near firing cannons, a chained Chinese and an original American. On the steps, skulls of popes, bishops and kings. The temple crowned by an unchristian idol. Behind the temple, dark clouds and lightning bolts. In the caption, the legend 1-9 in French.
