About this work

Satirical print on the much-hyped founding of the two new daily newspapers 'Dagblad van Zuid-Holland' and 'Nieuw Dagblad van 's Gravenhage'. The two initiators portrayed as quacks facing each other. Plate published in the weekly De Nederlandsche Spectator, no. 40, 5 October 1861.
