About this work
In the foreground, the eighth plague that God sent upon Egypt: a plague of locusts. The Pharaoh orders one of his soldiers to kill the locusts. On the left, a servant fills a jug with water: a reference to the first plague of Egypt when water turned to blood. In the background on the left, the seventh plague of Egypt: a hail and fire storm. In the background on the left and right, Aaron and Moses summoning the plagues. The print has a Latin inscription.
