About this work
A city view with the Dom Church in Utrecht is central in a frame crowned by the all-seeing eye of God. In the upper left on a cloud sits Justice and on the right History with a book and a quill. On the right stands the Utrecht city maiden with a spear and a charter with the Utrecht seal. Next to her, a putto with the coat of arms of the University of Utrecht. On the left sits an allegorical figure with a book on her lap by a burning altar pillar, perhaps Faith or Temperance.
