About this work

A trumeau consisting of two panels. In the upper panel, a figure with a ram, possibly Jason, stands under an arcade with two sphinxes. Below, a vase on a pedestal with a medallion depicting putti sharpening their arrows. Acanthus vines with satyrs surround the whole. In the lower panel, acanthus vines surround two putti on rams. Ornamental strips on the left and right of the panels.
