About this work
A man with the legs and head of a stag (Actaeon, transformed as punishment) watches Diana and a number of other ladies bathing in a fountain by a cave. He leads two dogs on a leash. On the right in the background, the continuation of the story is visible: the stag is torn apart by the dogs. Further in the background, a city. Six lines of Latin text below the depiction.
