Allegory on the founding of the Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen in Haarlem on 21 May 1752. Above, Minerva with a portrait of the patron, Prince Willem V; in the background, a meeting of scientists. Below the sides of a commemorative medal, naked Truth with a sun on her head, holding a palm branch in her left hand and an olive wreath in her right; in the background, a view of the city of Haarlem on the Spaarne, at the bottom the coat of arms of Haarlem. Reverse: two women sitting by an altar, representing Religion with a flame on her head and leaning on a Bible, and the Netherlands with a shield and liberty cap on a spear. Design for a print.
