About this work

Rhetoricians' procession with a horse-drawn wagon carrying a queen seated before a tent, 1620. The wagon is preceded and accompanied by rhetoricians; children dressed as angels with torches sit on the horses. On the wagon two heralds with the blazon of the rhetoricians' chamber featuring a rebus. This likely concerns the rhetoricians' chamber Het Mariacransken from Brussels.
