Restoration of freedom in the Netherlands by the French. A French soldier with a document on the Rights of Man hands a liberty tree to the Dutch Maiden. On the right, another French soldier with a woman with symbols of Equality and Fraternity. On the left in the background, stadtholder Willem V flees and an uprooted Orange tree falls.
