The departure of the English, Dutch, Zeeland and French fleets after the battle at Solebay on 7 June 1672. In the background burns the 'Royal James' of Mountagu. Also: 'Royal Sovereign' of Jordan, 'Eendracht' of Van Nes, 'Charles' of Harman, 'St-Andrew' of Kempthorne, 'Zeven Provincieën' of De Ruyter, 'Olifant' of Sweers, 'Maagd van Dordrecht' of De Liefde, 'Dolfijn' of Van Ghent, 'Gouda' of De Haen, 'Wapen van Enkhuizen' of Vlugh and 'Pacificatie' of Schram.
