A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) in his left hand by his left thigh, the barrel pointing diagonally upwards. Design for plate 23 in the instructions for handling the musket in the Wapenhandelinghe by J. de Gheyn (1607). Military affairs around 1600. Design for a print.
