About this work
A ruler sits on a throne, dressed in a transparent white jama. A string of pearls hangs over his red turban. A servant stands behind him and fans him to cool him. In front of the throne stand four men, the foremost of whom makes a request to the ruler. The scene is framed by small frames, colored in green and gold, with a broad horizontal field filled with gold motifs and framed at the top and bottom; on the right a small block with gold splatter.
