About this work

Gown of black/grey fabric to just below the knee. Tight-fitting bodice with flat lapels and button closure in the front with large round gold-colored buttons. Long tight-fitting sleeves with broad shoulders. Belt at the waist and bell-shaped overskirt with sewn-on pocket with flap. The overskirt of the skirt is turned back and a white lining is visible. Bottom left the name. Top right stamp of fashion house Jeanne Lanvin.
