Portrait of Anselmus Boëtius de Boodt, physician to Rudolf II. Surrounding the portrait various coats of arms and a Latin inscription, border text and caption with name and function. Part of the first album with drawings of quadrupeds. First of twelve albums with drawings of animals, birds and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With commentary in Dutch, Latin and French.
