About this work

Two ermines and a mink numbered 1–3 with corresponding Latin names. Numbered 29 in the upper right. Part of the first album of drawings of quadrupeds. First of twelve albums of drawings of animals, birds, and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With commentary in Dutch, Latin, and French.
