Guinea pig or Guinea piglet (top) and an unnamed animal (bottom), likely a young pig or wild boar. Numbered 2 in the upper right. Part of the first album of drawings of quadrupeds. First of twelve albums of drawings of animals, birds, and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With commentary in Dutch, Latin, and French.
