Moorhen (juvenile). Numbered in the upper right: 11. Latin and German names in the upper left. Part of the third album with drawings of birds. Fifth of twelve albums with drawings of animals, birds and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With commentary in Dutch, Latin and French.
