About this work

Sheet with four types of ducks and a cormorant. Among the ducks a summer teal and a wigeon. Numbered top right: 4. With Latin names. Part of the third album of bird drawings. Fifth of twelve albums of drawings of animals, birds and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With commentary in Dutch, Latin and French.
