Crested hyacinth and a purple cornflower or centaury. Numbered 144 in the upper right. Latin names at the flowers and an inscription in Dutch. Part of the second album of drawings of flowers and plants. Ninth of twelve albums of drawings of animals, birds and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With commentary in Dutch, Latin and French.
