About this work
The Parable of the Prodigal Son. The return of the prodigal son, welcomed by his father. Behind the father stand two of his servants. In several small scenes to the left the preceding episodes from the story are visible: the squandering of the inheritance in the brothel and the prodigal son as a swineherd. To the right an extensive landscape, mountainous landscape with a village on a river.
