About this work
The Adoration of the Christ Child. Mary and Joseph on either side of a stone trough in which the child lies. With them the ox and the donkey and a group of music-making and singing angels. From behind a curtain a shepherd with a staff looks on. On the left in the background two men warming themselves by a fire. On the right in the distance the Annunciation to the Shepherds.
