Portrait of Petrus Bliek (1706-97), Remonstrant preacher in Amsterdam, with his wife Cornelia Drost (d. 1775). In an interior before a large window with a view of a canal. On the left, Cornelia sits on a chair at a table, holding a fan and gloves in her right hand and a book in her left. At her feet, a small dog. Petrus stands to the right of the table, lifting his toga slightly with his left hand. On the wall, two wall sconces with a mirror.
