About this work

Carved and gilded frame with a hollow back. On the wall crown, alternating three teeth with a leaf shape. Within, the frame has a deep, hollow inner wall flowing into the base and a zigzagging-lint pattern along the day edge. The day measurement is reduced with a border covered in natural-colored textile.
