Stepped ogee baseboard

Newly made frame after a 17th-century model. Stepped ogee base frame where the profile consists of a combination of ebony with gilded parts. The construction consists of walnut. The crest begins with flat ebony and a small gilded step, followed by an ebony ogee profile that flows into the gilded plinth with a gilded step. The ebony base is flat and ends with a gilded inner edge. The frame was made after the example of the frame around the Portrait of Mattheus Augustijnsz Steijn by Pieter Pietersz. from 1588 (SK-L-5014, without later added inner edge).
