About this work
Gilded frame with scrollwork and a festoon of flowers and leaves. Horns and spiral ornaments decorate the upper corners and the top and bottom rails are occupied in the middle with a monster head. The scrollwork is distributed symmetrically over the frame and is interrupted all around by a festoon of flowers and leaves. On the back the frame has been planed and the sole replaced.
