About this work

Type status: syntype?. Collection locality: Bermuda. Collected by A. E. Verrill Bermuda Expedition 1898 or 1901. CSBR Slide Grant Image 2016; IZ number 79599; lot count 1; Microslide 01, balsam, sclerites; Microslide 02, balsam, sclerites; other number 46; type status comment: On the original slide label, Verrill crossed out Petrosia and wrote Reniera. He then wrote "micropora" below them. Due to a lack of previously discovered type material for Verrill's Bermuda sponges, this lot is questionably attributed as a syntype of Pachychalina micropora and should be re-evaluated by a porifera worker.
